Band Influences:

We have lots of influences, from the blues, rhythm and blues, 50’s Rockabilly and rock n roll.

Let’s have a listen to the tracks –

SHAKE MY SOUL – Kick starting this album is a fantastic ….a wild crazy bopping number….let’s g-o-o-o-o-!! If you’re not on the dance floor to this number then grab your coat and get outta town daddio! This is so awesome and for sure it’s gonna shake your soul…. Love It...I just gotta play this tune again…. Wow so bop-tastic!

FIND ME A GAL – “Find me a gal who can love me so”….this one has a great mid 50’s feel to it…could be right outta Sun Studio! Second track in and man I dig it big TIME…what a fab original sound to this number.

CHERRY LIPS –rockin’ blues bopper, this is sure gonna be a massive hit on the dance floor! Great chugging geetar from Pedro and a great raw lead vocal, top drumming and rolls from Rui, fab slap bass by Ruben, and a guest appearance on the awesome Sax from Boz. this is a top tune….bop cat bop ‘til you just can’t stop!!

GONE BABY GONE – More of a country rockabilly vibe to this number with a deeper vocal from Pedro accompanied with a nice backing vocal from Ruben..the guitar has a great country picking to it, nice bass tone and a great steady snare drum beat…”the train baby has gone!”

LORD HEAR ME COMIN – This one has a more western feel to it… fantastic lyrics to this one…Lord hear me comin, I’m comin home to you…nice harmonies on this one…very catchy indeed, could imagine it as the final play out track on an Ennio Morricone number with lyrics…a very well worked out number.

RED WINE FOR MY BLUE HEART – A classic rockabilly style to this song, harmonies once again with a great back beat and strong vocals once again…… fantastic guitar solo…sounds so authentic once again…nice snare drum ending too! .great stuff guys!

DON’T WAIT FOR ME – Wow! Great variation of style on this the second track from this trio, fabulous melodic catchy vocals on this rhythmic tune…with great shout backs, this tune really showcasing the bands versatility….grab your partner and go have a jive and lets spin around!

HOLD MY BOTTLE – 5 tunes in and this album is sounding so authentic and fantastic…Another fab track that could be right outta Memphis…hey Mr Phillips do you have a slot for The Wine-a-Billy Rollers daddio!! A nice steady number that even has a nice slap bass solo, and a brief snare showcase too mid way through…

WHAT A DREAM – Final track of this debut C.D….This one has a nice doo wop sound to it…nice vocals and backing once again… nice strolling tempo …great production and the levels on this recording are just perfect… another sure fire hit but this time on the jive scene…nice key change on the last verse too…what a fabulous end to this great 10 track album…

WHAT A DREAM – Penultimate track of this debut C.D….This one has a nice doo wop sound to it…nice vocals and backing once again… nice strolling tempo …great production and the levels on this recording are just perfect… another sure fire hit but this time on the jive scene…nice key change on the last verse too…

LEAVE ME ON THIS TRAIN – This number starts with a great guitar riff from Pedro then Ruben on the bass followed with drums from Rui…. A higher raw vocal again on this tune by Pedro…this one’s a foot tapper and has Ruben playing a fab harmonica run through the solo after 50 seconds into this song...then at 1:45 here we go again..harmonica battling with the geetar provided by Boz on a second solo back to back… pure fantastic….I can imagine this being a big hit at weekenders… what a fabulous end to this great 10 track album…would love to see it played live!

BAND BIO…

We formed our band 10 years ago, 3 good looking cats, decided to start playing Rockabilly, at the beginning we just played covers, and started to play all around Portugal with more than 200 gigs! We played in some festivals in Spain, now it’s time to go around Europe and spread the wine a billy Music!

CLOSING COMMENTS ABOUT THE ALBUM:

Some tracks the band tell me were recorded some years ago as a 4 track release but this is their first real album… This debut album has a superb cocktail of rockin tunes that encompass the whole scene, these 10 self penned fantastic tracks are a sure fire hit and you just gotta add it to your collection… this has been a fantastic album to review and a joy to listen to.
