let’s take a look at this London band’s introductory offering. It’s pure heavy Psychobilly. The vocals have a tinge of Heavy Metal, which is fairly commonplace for this type of material. The lyrics are your typical two people getting-it-on lyrics. (At least I reckon that’s what they’re on about), not entirely sure what Jump Your Bones means but I can hazard a good guess. It’s a fun party song, which will no doubt go down a treat live. The playing is fast & strong, great guitar licks throughout. The chorus is fun & has a sing-along quality.
Summary
They don’t reinvent the wheel, but as a first offering it’s very strong. They get their message across perfectly, leaving no one in doubt what the band are all about. Fans of the heavy stuff & Psychobilly will find much to like here. If this is the standard set by their first offering, then the future should look bright for The Dead-Shouts.
