Well, hey there rockin stompin blues cats have we got a gigantic sound for you here, in fact a Tri-Gantic sound, oh yes this fantastic Trio, are back the stonking lads from Vorarlberg, Austria .are back...thankfully with their second album on part records in Deilheim Germany, recorded in Black shack studios... where their first album was born  in 2019 and the 7 inch single in 2018...and to now, their release of fingerlickin' (which is also being released with a 7 inch single, you lucky lot).their sound sure is a rockin sound records. Recorded and mixed by Chris at Palac crown and the mastering of the cd by Charly Bonat, working to perfection and different aspects, Rawand Baziany does the vinyl mastering, we got a good talented team here, making this sound astonishing. this out and out pure rockabilly blues  sound has takin their inspiration from a wide yet particular orientation, from the themes of link Wray...(yeah) T-bone walker etc so some amazing influences, these cool kats have toured round Europe and booked at near on every main stage big and small, you must be wanting to know the lineup. so, this wild trio is concocted of, 

 Martin T. on the astounding electric guitar, 

 Alex on the slapping cool and crazy upright  double bass 

 and Chris on the pounding drums  

 

SOOO, shall we get to this gigantic, i mean tri - Gantic sound . 

to kick it off  


Sliding in –  

a true sliding blues, shack blues , electric blues guitar  vocals distorted between the slides bringing in the record with thanks, ...nice start, get you in the deep rough blues mood. 


If I Ever Get to Heaven 

blues sliding guitar and harmonica opener.  boppin  beat paced snare drum, harmonica breaks for vocal gaps and full culmination of all hard driving rockin beat. 


Gum on my shoes. 

is this a foot sticking track... nope more like a rockabilly swinging bopper to shake the gum off, subtle driving beat, harmonious bass, slick vocals, and smashing lead guitaring all on the goofing around kind of pitch and rhythm to it, and a brill rhythm guitar in the back and real cool drum fills. 

 

How long.  

guitar snare intro , and breaking in vocal, all aspects with slight distortion effect giving fantastic blues bopper feel and a delightful lead guitar break giving added thrills and simple effective couple drum fill, bop it cat. 


Boogie lightning . 

a flashing quick opener, a bolt of lightning, backin snare drum driving a whole lotta snazzy fast fingered lead guitar playing more like lightning. a lot of string playing techniques odd cymbal crash between bars and a few “hays” thrown in the mid catching the ear and a fantastic down scale outro 


Wasting my love. 

a voodoo opening feel with blues broken beat, echoed vocals ,get your cha cha stroll step on the go, and backin vocals supplied by female added mystic haunting. fantastic guitar solo on higher and lower scale end on dual vocals and guitar play out. 


Do you Waste Your Days. 

Guitar stammered play effect, slight distortion, kind of Bo Didley feel, picking up pace. bringing in the backing vocals mid-way for a guitar solo, cymbal smashes between sections, and finish direct snap out of ''wasted days’’. 


Your So Mean Baby. 

Raucous kick off distorted vocals buzzing sax backing jumping paced drumming and sharp guitar with mid strums, sinner not saint aspect feels, catchy drum fills and more string solos, with twang ending. 


Rovin Man-  

strummed intro few bars and then slow drums , brilliant stroller to take it easy for a moment, fantastic key change and back again and the higher pitched guitar solo, calm yet haunting vocals  , an effect moment on the guitar mid record ,great set off, and guitar play out with drum and strum ensemble. 


Hungry Again - (yep we are for more) 

Guitar and drum paced beat intro, traditional rockabilly feel, hint of Eddie Cochran’s 20 flight essence , lot of guitar scale play.  


Dibs on my Love - 

guitar mini scale pattern starts and throughout, bring in the backin vocals again, nice effect ,steady drum boppin beat, capturing vocals, guitar and vocal matching effects towards end and dual vocals to bring in the guitar strum out . 


Fingerlickin -  

now for the title track hmm sure is fabulous guitar opening , full on mix of comets primarily and slight hint of Gallup perfect use of high end scale play with thrown in duel string plucks and the drum and bass in perfect subtle accompanying harmony, bringing ending on higher and lower sting play to real fast play and general rockin guitaring, perfect string play... 


Blues Before Christmas - the kind of blues you want... 

Opener of slow string bend, played full blues stroller raspy feeling, string slides bends and about all the blues guitar playing you could want, backing drive on the snare, bass, and slap plucked bass, echoed distorted vocal and the drum guitar vocal working off each other and brill strum out 


How Long (fast version)  

here we go cats full on blues bopper , jumpin bouncing drums and bass raucous bouncing distorted guitar hard blowing harmonica, beating out quick stop.. bop ya boots off!! as long as you can!! 

thats the way to play it out,, well  


Summary 

You like blues? you like rockabilly?  

Then you want to get it in you collection when it’s out, before it bops off,  absolute true fine mix of original and neo raucous blues boppin rockabilly, they sure do got a TRI-GANTIC  sound that will leave you wanting more, see them if you can and keep a playing...!
