Review

Another cracker from the library of the bear family team. Rock n roll/rockabilly is as big today across the continent as its always been, and Hong Kong and Japan is no different. Bars and clubs and events are still going strong.bands like Souta, Blitz Attack Boys. Raw Deal and The Boogie Playboys  played Dirty Boogie Rockabilly Festival at the Fringe Club. Social media pages are full on the Asian rockabilly world, Teds dancing in there fashionable attire around town centres and clubs. Displaying the love of the music and its legends. So this album just reflects the inspiration from this part of the world. Going way back into the 50s and 60s right through to today’s artist singing songs that have that oriental theme. Track 17 The Nitecaps give us the “Bambo Rock n Roll from right back in 1956 was released on the Groove label, which only started two years previously. 1957  and track 23 was released one year earlier in 1955, Fujiyama Mama by Annisteen Allen was huge hit and inspired many artist to cover it, Eileen Barton and Wanda Jackson, among others. We see many famous names listed on the this release, The Five Keys, Jerry Lee Lewis, Webb Pierce and The Revels to name just a few. 26 tracks and it Comes with a 20-page booklet with liner notes to every song and artist.
