Bamboole are a rock n roll band from Canterbury, United Kingdom. Taking inspiration from all types of genres like  rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly, swing and  including country, folk, this release is a four track EP, with extra  live tracks when bought via https://bamboozlehq.bandcamp.com/album/bamboozled . Recorded at Dean Street Studios, Soho and the cover designed by Engage Convert.  So, we get the four tracks to review for your listening please. So lets do a track by track review.

Heathens – (Tyler)

Slow start on the intro before a powerhouse of sound smashes the speakers. The track is far from what we would expect from the trio. Although you can hear the rockabilly sound within the backing. A new flavour is coming through to my ears. Vocally superb with a hard drum backing it up. Lyrics are brilliant and meaningful. Wonder and refreshing track.

Bleed – (Sykes, Jim, Titmus)

Defiantly breaking away or re-inventing themselves from the genre we are used to hearing from the trio. The trio say that this is their very first track written has a band. The sound is mixed with a 1980s vibe but with a roots feel with that bass twanging in the back. The lyrics say they are complicated and overrated, Not at all. It’s a great track

Rockin Man - (Sykes, Jim, Titmus)

Going back to the sound we recognise from the band. The backing is Rockin and fast. Great guitar work and thrashing drums. The bass pounding out the rhythm. Middle break intro gives us the awesome tones of that bass. Building back up to a Rockin sound. Vocals are raw and bluesy. Just under four minutes of brilliance.

Ice Cold Beer - (Sykes, Jim, Titmus)

Once again throwing a curve ball into the mix of sound. So many styles mixed into this wonderful mid paced filler. Brings all that the band are to get across. Its country, bluesy, neo, roots and all made into modern day track and sound.

Summary

Well, that was an eye opener, a completely different way of playing the modern day sound with the Americana vibe. It’s refreshing to hear them trying new styles and sounds. That’s how we got the Genres we know and love. Keep making your way forward with this idea and style. But continue with that rockin beat we know and love you for.

Bio

With their eclectic background, wide-ranging musical influences and unique form of controlled chaos, Bamboozle draws inspiration from a variety of genres. Their alternative sound calls to mind a cross between the uncompromising vocals of Hayley Williams, the raw diversity of Chris Isaak and a splash of the attitude and fire of Tina Turner. Serena’s

electrifying vocal performances soar above Jim’s thrilling guitar riffs and Jax’s driving drum beats to create a sound that is both unique and unforgettable. Altogether, Bamboozle delivers a heady blend of fun, post-rock, and ominous Americana that is both nostalgic and deeply modern.
