Track by track Review:
Ain’t Too Late To Bop – So, we are off with this gutsy title track which is sure true its never too late to bop. With traits of a Chris Montez’s “Lets dance” intro the song kicks into a straight talking rocking’ jiving beat that delivers the punch.
Baby Come On – Awesome guitar riff runs through this one with a daunting midway break, it sends through a powerful message in the lyrics and musical accompaniment.
Stomp Attack- Blues bopper sure fire floor filler for the harden bopping fraternity.
You Won’t See Me Cry- The introduction of Sean McBride on sax plays a role in this one with a nice break, it’s a neat little jiver with a lively beat.
Wrong Side Of Town- From the vaults this track gives us the retro sound of a Hillbilly bopper produced to a tee.
The Wild Die Young- Well there certainly was a few that did and this song gives a insight into having fun but being prepared to die young . Its another driving tune with a message in the lyrics.
Juliette- In the good old days I would have aced to this one but now adays the floor will be filled with strollers, once again the sax comes in giving a touch of class with Brett pounding out on the vocals.
Memphis Bound- Catchy riff to this mid-tempo track, with the words referring to being “Memphis Bound” and the clicky clack from Gary on drums drives us there.
Trash Talkin’ Sally Anne- A jump and go number with some fine musical inspirations blending in with the vocals.
Don’t Want Your Love- Blues bopper number two, with a menacing sound from Craig on the harmonica producing that oh so bopping beat.
He’s No Friend Of Mine- A lovely melody to this country tune which sounds like its straight of Nashville. Theres some mighty guitar licks which all drift along to sooth the mood.
Skinny Jilli Milli- Straight back to this rocker next it’s a pounder, dig the sax and a superb drum break keeps rolling to the end.
Black Eyed Cat – Nice intro to this one before Brett rips into the vocals, has a somewhat bouncy beat that will get you jigging to say the least.
Death Valley Drag- So, we come to the last track an instrumental with traits of Johnny Paris and the sound of the Hurricanes with some Duane Eddy sounds thrown in for good measure, top notch rocketing blaster ending on a high note.
So, to Summarise you have it all here, blues boppers, rockers, Country/Hillbilly and an instrumental just shows you the diversity of these guys. Certainly, worth a listen grab your copy today.
